The goal of the project was to create a weekend home with the flexibility needed to allow extended stays, offering both the comfort of a permanent home and the authentic atmosphere of a Texas ranch.
The proposal sought to integrate both qualities —contemporary life and rural essence— through a strategic distribution.
The main challenge was to design a contemporary ranch that respected the fundamental principles of the traditional typology —proportion, form, relationship with the land.
The fusion between the classic and the contemporary involved a careful balance in the selection of materials, the architectural language and the spatial organization, guaranteeing both functionality and conceptual coherence, as well as optimal use of views and orientation.
Outcome
The Rancho House project, designed by RAMÉ STUDIO, is based on the traditional U-shaped layout that evokes the essence of a classic Texas ranch. The design maximizes the flow of natural light and frames both interior and exterior views, creating a seamless connection with the surrounding environment.
The interior proposes a fusion between the tradition of the Texan ranch and contemporary life, where the selection of materials, colors and furniture builds a complete, coherent and timeless spatial narrative.
